Thermal Boron Nitride Paste

Creates wurtzite boron nitride coating layer, which protects surface under high temperatures, facilitates heat transfer and increases working life of 3D printers' parts, cutting and drilling tools, melting molds and more.

Wurtzite boron nitride

Wurtzite boron nitride  is a metastable high-pressure polymorph of boron nitride, made by the shock compression (explosion synthesis). Wurtzite Boron Nitride is  thermally and chemically resistant and has hardness which often mistakenly claimed as greater than diamond's.  It is unique material,  often called as the next step in the evolution of boron nitride.

                                            Advantages or wurtzite boron nitride:

 - Thermal expansion of wurtzite boron nitride is lower than that of hexagonal boron nitride and other heat resistant materials, so wbn offers higher stability of coating      layer under high temperatures (<2000 °C = 3632 °F);

-  Wurtzite crystal's thermal conductivities, both parallel and perpendicular to the axis, are identical, so wbn provides higher stability of thermal properties in              comparison to other heat resistant materials, including such widely used for heat resistant materials form of boron nitride, as hexagonal.

WURTZENITE™ BORON NITRIDE, HIGH TEMPERATURE RESISTANT PASTE

Wurtzenite™ Boron Nitride paste  is high temperature resistance solution, made from wurtzite boron nitride (40% by weight) and proprietary water soluble composition, which facilitates effective application of  wurtzite boron nitride for protection from high temperatures  and for effective  heat transfer.

Application of Wurtzenite™ Boron Nitride paste:
- Anti-stick coating, mold release: apply uniform layer to the surface of the melting mold and let it dry (recommended to avoid boiling). Anyway, composition will evaporate under high temperature, leaving  protecting layer of wurtzite boron nitride on a surface. See the images of graphite electrode, coated with Wurtzenite™ Boron Nitride paste and left in oven (area in green oval) under temperature of 1000 °C for 8 hours.

- Detaching (dismantling) and protective for high temperatures (up to 2000 °C): the paste may be diluted with water to make suspension, which impregnates surface better than paste (see the video above), or you just save some material.
- Thermal conductor, including for more effective heat distribution in 3D printers' hot blocks, reducing clogs and making removing nozzles easier: coat the surface, install while boron nitride paste is still wet and let it dry before heating up. Do not apply the paste  to the threads of the heater block, only to the thread of nozzle.
- Facilitates cutting of hard materials, extends the working life of cutting tools, provides a lower operating temperature: dilute Wurtzenite  boron nitride paste with water (1:5 water or more) to make lubricating liquid, and use it as usual.
